The Silver Birch Academy Trust (SBAT) was founded in July 2012. The first school converted under the Trust was Chingford Hall Primary School, shortly followed by Whittingham Community Primary School in February 2013. All schools within the trust share a common commitment to enabling everyone within the community to develop lifelong learning skills, which will enable them to fulfil their potential.
Since becoming a part of SBAT, attainment levels in both schools have remained above national average for both end of Key Stage 1 and 2. In addition, both schools have made exceptional progress in terms of enabling learners to exceed national expectations at the end of both Key Stages. For example, in 2013 85% of learners at Whittingham Primary Academy achieved at least Level 4 in Reading, Writing and Maths, whilst 29% of learners achieved Level 5 or above in Reading, Writing and Maths at Chingford Hall Primary Academy.
In the academic year 2016/17 were are introducing a new focus on ICT/Computing in our curriculum.
