Led by CEO, National Leader of Education and award winning head teacher Patricia Davies, the Silver Birch Academy Trust has a clear driving ambition: to provide the highest quality education for all its pupils. Outstanding outcomes will be the norm: every child is expected to achieve better than the national expected standard, and the relationships between children and staff will be of the highest quality.

How we will achieve this vision


As a multi-academy trust, we strongly believe that to achieve and sustain strong pupil achievement, school improvement processes must have an absolute focus on their impact on outcomes. This requires us to continually challenge what we do, why we do it and what difference it is making.

We will retain the uniqueness of each school within the Trust, whilst not compromising on the commitment to strong collaboration and networking between schools. In this way, we will retain our place in the community, draw from it and understand the context of where our pupils come from, so that we are better equipped from the start to effect change immediately. Pupils and parents need to feel their school is unique to them. Strong and effective collaboration does not necessitate uniformity across a system; instead, it requires a shared aspirational vision, a relentless commitment to achieving our shared aims and clear school improvement processes to effect rapid and sustained change. As each school in each hub develops, we will move towards developing centres of excellence. We want to attract and retain the best staff and we know we need to provide them with high quality bespoke professional development, which draws on research and applicability in the classroom, to do so.


How we will measure our success


We aim to be amongst the best academy trusts: we want to be judged not only on the achievement of our pupils whilst they are in our schools but also on their destinations, both in further education and in the aspirational career choices they make. We want to be judged on the performance of our staff and the expertise, knowledge and skills they bring to their work, day in, day out.
